Will the TOU mode cause a waste of solar energy?

Under normal circumstances, the TOU mode efficiently utilizes solar energy to prevent waste. Here's how it works: When solar energy is available, the TOU mode intelligently allocates the portions of the battery capacity to be charged from solar and the grid ahead of time. If plenty of solar energy is expected for the day, the grid won't be used to charge the battery unless the actual solar generation falls short. However, in cases where there's excess solar energy and the battery is already fully charged, some of that solar energy may go unused if the solar output doesn't meet the load power requirement.

What is the TOU mode?

The TOU (Time-of-Use) mode is designed to help you save money on a fluctuating rate plan. It charges your battery when the electricity rate is low and discharges it when the rate is high.

Why isn't my TOU schedule being executed?

"Here are a few reasons why your TOU schedule isn't executing: a. The battery has reached its charge limit. b. The battery level has dropped below the backup reserve level. c. Storm Guard has been activated due to severe weather conditions."

How do I set my electricity rate?

"You have two options for setting your electricity rate: a. Go to the device settings page and find ""Electricity rate settings"". b. Alternatively, on the Operating mode page, you'll find a shortcut to electricity rate settings within the TOU mode section."

How do I choose between Self-powered, TOU mode, and Scheduled tasks?

"1. If you have solar panels and a stable rate plan, go for Self-powered mode. It minimizes your grid dependency. When your battery is above the backup reserve level, it charges only from solar until the charge limit is reached. 2. For manual control over charging and discharging, opt for Scheduled tasks. It works regardless of whether you have solar panels. 3. If your rate plan fluctuates and you want to optimize charging, discharging, and solar usage for savings, TOU mode is the way to go.

I'm using the savings mode, but why does my battery level drop during a grid outage when it's not discharging?

When there's a grid outage and you're in savings mode, the device automatically turns on AC output to ensure your appliances stay powered. However, this consumes some battery power. If AC output remains on for an extended period, it can cause the SoC to drop.

How long does it take to fully charge a battery?

The fastest charging power for one battery is 6200W. It takes about 92 minutes to charge one battery from 0% to 100%, but if stacked on two or more batteries, the maximum charging power can reach 8800W. It takes about 1 hour and 56 minutes to charge two batteries from 0% to 100%.

Can I connect EcoFlow power stations to my house electric panel directly?

Yes, but the transfer switch should be connected to the power station's AC output port. You should disconnect the circuits from the grid before the power station supports them. The total power consumption of the circuits should not exceed the output power rating. The output will not be grounded if the power station is not connected to the grid.

Does EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra work with an existing grid-tied system that does not have a backup feature?

Unfortunately, EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra cannot connect and feedback to the grid.

There is a 274 fault code when using a 780W/5700W dryer and charging at 1800W/120V.

A 274 fault is caused by a C20 outlet overcurrent. After a C20 overcurrent, it will switch to INV and discharge normally, as long as you have a split load. At this time, the maximum power should be 7200W. The custom charging mode does not support X-Boost. Once the output load exceeds the set charging power, it will cause the 274 fault. If the user needs to charge and discharge a dryer simultaneously, the C20 must be set to fast charging mode.

Can EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra be charged using an EcoFlow Smart Generator?

EcoFlow Smart Generator can charge EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra using an EcoFlow AC Charging Cable (NEMA 5-15P to C19). EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra can not be charged using DC through an XT150 cable. Third-party generators can charge EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra using the EcoFlow AC Generator Charging Adapter. The EcoFlow Smart Generator can be auto-switched on or off through the EcoFlow app.

Incessant battery overheating

The battery cell will show overheating at 60 degrees. It must be stationary in a cool place for at least 2-3 hours before returning to a safe working temperature.

Batteries cannot be charged in low temperatures.

The battery has a self-heating function. At sub-zero temperatures, the battery pack will heat up to above-zero temperatures. However, for improved charging and discharging performance, place the battery indoors. After enabling the battery's self-heating function, the temperature will rise to the optimal level, and each discharge cycle will consume 10% of the electricity.
